Following Fitness Gurus On Twitter: Is It Helping Or Hurting Your Health Goals?

For a long time, I have desired to maintain a healthy body by doing exercise and watching what I eat and drink. However, I have always had this one problem, going to the gym. Many things make me not desire to go to the gym. One such reason is the way of dressing. “Are you serious?” You may ask. Yes, I am. I don’t like exposing my body in public. That is it!

Going through the social media platform, Twitter, I noted some fitness guru such as Daily Fitness Tip- @DailyFitnessTip.

The account had a big flow. Not sure if they had bought followers from trusted websites like Social10x.com but I needed help. So, I did not care how they had ended up with such a big number of followers.They tweeted on fitness, general health, and diet. 

Did following the fitness gurus on Twitter help me?

You bet it did. I was able to know the right diets I should take. In most gyms, trainers will focus on exercising but not giving you tips on the right diet to take. Also, through daily fitness tips, I learned how to keep my body fit. That also came with an added advantage, improvement of my health.

  • Improvement Of My Health

The first reason that prompted me to follow fitness gurus on Twitter is the realization that I love snacking too much which, of course, puts my health at risk. I didn’t know how well to avoid this and how to replace the snacks with something that is healthy. My goal was to overcome the urge to eat too many snacks in a day.

How did I overcome this after following these gurus? Firstly, I realized that the reason I eat too many snacks is that my stomach does not feel full. Let me explain. Fitness gurus recommend taking a lot of water which left me feeling full. 

On the other hand, I realized I should take a glass of water and some fruits in the morning. That automatically replaces the snacks, right? That’s how I achieved that goal.

  • Keeping My Body Fit

Did I say that I don’t like exposing my body? Well, that is when I’m in a gym but not in my house. You see, I can dress the way I want without caring as long as I’m in my house, right?  Fitness gurus tweeted on the best way to keep the body fit by doing exercise. I didn’t have to go looking for a trainer in the gym, right?

But there was a problem. I could not do exercise for more than 10 minutes. Why? My heart beat became too fast such that I had to sit down and relax. I almost gave up, but something kept motivating me, the testimonies from other people following the same gurus. I felt that I, too, just like others who had struggled before, could make it. And yes, today things are much different though not yet where I want to be. Striving on.

  • Maintaining A Healthy Diet

Believe you me; it is not easy to start a new diet and stick to it especially if what you are avoiding is always at your exposure. Thank God, fitness gurus give personalized training that gives individuals help in the areas they are struggling most.

However, you must be sincere and disciplined enough to get the most out of the fitness guru. Well, I had already decided that I was going to achieve my health goals. So? I chose to stick to my healthy diet. I avoided that which the fitness guru asked me to avoid — for example, too much sugar, snacks, deep fried foods and the like. 

The struggle was real, but today I have managed to avoid snacks as well as deep-fried foods.

  • Enjoying A Healthy Sleep

This is one thing I will never forget, I struggled to catch sleep. I could wake up late the next day, and most of the times I was not able to fulfill all the day’s requirements. Frustrating!

By following the fitness gurus on Twitter, I got to know that when I exercise, I will feel tired and will long for rest before the end of the day. That is how I got to enjoy a good night’s rest.

In conclusion, following fitness gurus on Twitter helped me in achieving my health goals. It will help you, too.
