Adriana Lima, one of Victoria’s Secret’s most famous models, shared her slim down secret before she hits the runway.
“I do lots of jumping rope for about a month and a half before the show. I have been doing boxing for over 10 years – it’s a passion of mine. Since you’re not wearing much and you’re on television, you have to pay attention to different areas! I do try to work out every day before the show.”
Adriana Lima’s Runway Slimdown Plan:
– Everyday, she drinks a gallon of water along with a clean diet of steamed veggies and lean protein.
– 9 days before the show, she is on a “no solids” diet. She will only drink protein shakes that include powdered egg.
– Two days before the show, she will drink “normally”. Ditch the gallon of water.
– Twelve hours before the show, she will stop drinking entirely.
This is a technique that a lot of bodybuilders and bikini competitors use to lean out before hitting the stage. Without water, your skin will start to suck into your muscles as you dry out and you will lose quite a few pounds of water weight. Lima said that she loses up to eight pounds.
As for her workout, she trains with a personal trainer daily and works out twice a day the last 3 weeks leading up to the show.
“I do the Brazil Butt Lift class. I think I’m in better shape now than I was 10 years ago, but it takes a bigger toll – I get back pain!”
This Brazilian hottie who is also mother of 2 is still very fit and elegant. Her secret: the “Brazil Butt Lift” routine. She performs elastic bands, capoeira, ankle weights. She got what she wanted (long legs, thin thighs and tight butt) with this schedule.
The Australian beauty Miranda does ballet, Yoga and Pilates regularly to keep herself fit. Regarding diet, she takes Blood Type Diet, that is, the diet which aims at eating depending upon blood group. She is blood type A and eats accordingly.
“I also eat low-GI, high-alkaline foods, drink filtered water and eat mostly fresh produce and very little meat.”
South African model and VS Angel, Candice Swanepoel does kickboxing, jump ropes and Yoga: “I love walking up on the runway. I box, I do a lot of resistance, three times a week.”
Regarding diet, she can easily manage her diet plan. It is not difficult for her to maintain or stick to a particular diet plan. She eats healthy food like vegetables, proteins, drinks a lot of water and steak to develop some muscles.
This Namibian model and VS Angel really likes to swim. Her workout exercise is swimming and related to water sports.
“I try to do Pilates when I can all year around and I also like to swim a lot. I also have a trainer that kicks my butt when it’s needed! I like to be active and keep busy.”
Behati takes a good diet. She says she eats scrambled eggs (low calorie protein source), avocados (provides fiber, potassium, Vitamin B and E), and toast for breakfast. Behati drinks of plenty of water. It is a good way for keeping the appetite low and reduces weight. Thus, she is able to keep her weight low by maintaining her beauty and body shape.
