This what happens to your body after just one workout!

The first few days in the gym will be very hard, but you gotta keep going because the benefits of physical activity are amazing!

You’ll feel the changes in your body after just one workout and this should give you some extra motivation. Look what happens to your body after just one workout!

1. You’ll de-stress and you’ll relax your body and mind. A single workout should be enough to remove tension from your body and to make you feel better after a long day at work. If you train in the morning, you will feel more energized and ready to face another stressful day.

2. You’ll focus better. A great workout will leave you feeling more alert and more focused immediately after.

According to a research in 2012, 10 minutes of physical activity can really improve your focus. Isn’ this a great reason to workout daily?

3. Your mood will change. During training, your brain will start to release a number of different feel-good neurotransmitters, including endorphins.

Various studies have shown that endorphins can trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine. These chemicals will help you fight depression, anxiety and stress and will put you in a very good mood. You’ll feel more optimistic and positive and the people around you will notice this.

4. You’ll sleep great. Many people feel like they don’t get enough sleep, but training can help a lot if you find yourself in this situation. Just one workout can improve your sleep quality and reduce feelings of sleepiness during the day.

However, it is really important to not stop working out suddenty! Because, this is what happens:

Because exercise is known to help lower blood pressure, it’s no surprise that stopping your regular workouts can cause increases in blood pressure.

-Body Weight & Fat Gains

When you’re used to regular exercise and you suddenly stop working out, you’ll likely start to notice increases in body fat and are at risk for weight gain, especially if you don’t make dietary changes when you quit exercising. If you control or reduce your calorie intake you can prevent weight gain or even lose weight, because muscle weighs more than body fat.

-Decreased Athletic Performance

When you stop exercising you’ll slowly lose endurance, power and strength, which are important components of being fit.

-Reductions in Strength & Muscle

When you stop working out for an extended period of time, your body starts to lose strength and muscle mass.

– Mood and Brain Changes

  1. Yes, I agree that working out makes us feel relaxed and not stressed. I often feel sleepy about one or two hours after I workout in the morning, but not when I workout in the afternoon. Do you know why that happens?
