I’ve been there. The struggle is real. To get rid of that pain, I have bought an exercise ball so that I can stretch my back and spine.

That helped me, and I still stretch out twice a day. In the morning and before bed.

Now, I’m not here to talk about stretching with exercise or Pilates ball.

If you are experiencing pain in your lower back to behind the thighs, you have probably developed sciatica.

A proven method of relieving the pain includes a tennis ball. No, I won’t make you go outside and play tennis. Even though that’s a great sport.

We are going to do a Tennis Ball Therapy for Sciatic Pain.

The Therapy:

Even though this seems a ridiculous way of relieving the pain, people say it’s really effective, and after few days the pain will go away.

It represents a simple method that relies on pressure points. You need to massage these pressure points. It’s impossible to do that with your hands because you can’t reach them.

That’s why you are going to use a simple tennis ball.

With the help of this ball, you will apply pressure to the piriformis muscle located around the sciatic nerve. It will push the sciatic nerve against the tendons underneath it that caused the pain in first place.

How to do it properly?

One of the advantages of this therapy is that you can do it by yourself at your home.

Lay down on the floor and put the ball on the muscle where you feel the pain. You can utilize two balls if you want. Start with the treatment by gradually moving your body. Feel the ball moving around the muscle, as well.

Continue until you locate the weakest spot with the ball. After you locate it, press the ball on these spots up to 20 minutes. You need to repeat this procedure five times every day. The results will come in no time.
